Habitat Management

The Ecology Co-Operation offers a service for the creation of new wildlife friendly habitats, carefully tailored by an experienced ecologist.

This service can be for large scale projects as part of a conservation program, mitigation schemes for developments, or as small scale ‘wildlife gardening’ enhancements for schools, individuals or communities.

Services offered include:

  • tree and hedge planting
  • pond creation
  • pond restoration and management
  • wildflower meadow creation and management
  • bat and bird boxes
  • creating hibernacula (a place for animals to hibernate)
  • building ‘bug hotels’
  • woodland management of all sizes (including applying for grants under the English Woodland Grant Scheme (EWGS).

What time of the year do habitat management take place?
