About Lara
Lara Hulbert
Assistant Ecologist
Lara is an assistant ecologist who joined the ecology co op in June 2025. She has a BSc in Ecology and Wildlife Conservation, during which she completed her research project on the effects of deforestation in protected Guatemalan rainforests and spent her industry year caring for sick and injured animals in a local wildlife hospital.
Lara has gained well rounded knowledge of the UK’s protected species through an ecology certificates course, and has a particular passion for botany. She is keen to expand her botany skills and get involved with habitat condition assessments and biodiversity net gain projects.
Outside of work she enjoys exploring new areas to walk, experimenting in the kitchen with flavours and cuisines and getting creative with textiles and needlework.
