Charlotte Hammond

Assistant Ecologist

Charlotte is an Assistant Ecologist with three years industry experience in variety of projects and species. She has experience assisting on Preliminary Ecological Appraisal, Bat scoping’s and emergence surveys. Charlotte has manged great crested newt surveys, small site PEAs and Ecological Clerks of Works. 

Prior to this Charlotte worked as a Zookeeper and has completed her master’s by research where she focused on Human-wildlife conflict in Ghana. The aim was to determine the effects of community conservation efforts to reduce threats to endangered primate species with transect and camera trap surveys.

Licenses and Key Experience:

  • Great crested newt level 1 license- CL08

  • Experience in camera traps and badger surveys

  • Ecological Clerk of Works for a variety of species

  • Survey experience for dormouse, bats, reptiles, newts, and badgers

  • Confident in QGIS mapping for UK hab and BNG

  • Various report writing and project management covering ecological appraisals, LEMP, CEMP, Biodiversity enhancement reports
