Consultant Ecologist

Key Responsibilities

You will work closely with the team in Sussex or Kent and will be willing to collaborate with other team members including those in Devon, and South Wales. This will be on a wide variety of projects, which are likely to include Ecological Impact Assessments, Habitats Regulations Assessments, mitigation and habitat creation, biodiversity impact calculations and protected species surveys.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent in ecology or a related subject.

  • An MSc or PhD in a relevant subject is welcome but is not essential.

  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) will be essential (or at least the ability to quickly gain membership).

  • A valid UK driving licence is essential for this role as is the flexibility to work unsocial hours and to work away on site when required.

Subcontractors

We are always looking for sub-contracted staff. Contact us if you are interested in being included on our Approved Sub-Contractor List. We currently work in the South East of England and will also have some seasonal work around Devon. We  are currently recruiting for sub contractors in Kent, Sussex and Devon.
